He attended Vanderbilt Divinity School after receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Fisk University. District 52 includes parts of Nashville. Jones was born in Oakland, California, on August 25, 1995. He served as a representative for District 52 in the Tennessee House of Representatives from January 2023 until his expulsion on April 6, 2023, for taking part in a control demonstration at the statehouse.
